And the weird feeling everyone has about this incident goes to roots that are much more deeply seated than a mis-recognized contrail.

People will start seeing Chinese invasion forces at every dry cleaning shop, the Andromeda Strain with every sneeze, and EMPs with every burned out lightbulb.

So now, even generals are seeing ICBM strikes in every UPS cargo flight.
