A friend named a dog Marquez, after Gabriel Garcia Marquez. His dad asked "What's wrong with "Shep?" Of course, the same guy was trying to decide between "Boots" and "Socks" when they kept a half-drowned kitten with dingleberries. He wanted a name that reflected the cat's markings.
