Naming a Dog (Vanity)

I am trying to think of a good name for a dog, just acquired from the pound. He's been neutered, seems to be a bit less than one year old. He's part blue heeler and part black lab with ears that do not seem to be of either of those two breeds. He's joining the alpha male guard dog and the little mama dog who are both getting up there in years.
If anyone has any good suggestions for naming him, I'd appreciate it.

It will make it interesting when he gets out and you have to drive around the neighborhood calling him.

Many animals are more ‘human’ in terms of compassion and caring than a lot of humans walking around today. A great compliment to those particular animals, and a sad commentary on those humans.

Neutered, not much experience (< 1 yr), part black, messed up ears, hmmm...
Call him POTUS!
Scratch that, you may be tempted to kick it and that would be wrong!

Neutered, mixed breed with funny ears...
I would hate to do it to my dog but Obama seems the perfect match.

Just use the first word that comes to mind. No, you can’t name him “sex”.

My hunting friend named his German shorthair “Rebate” since he purchased the dog with his G.W. Bush tax rebate.

I like Lucky. The old time 1950s and 1960s dogs names might work like Shep or Buddy.

I named my cat ‘felis sphincterus’. you can name your dog ‘cannis sphincterus’. that way you can teach him his name in two languages.

My, then 5 year old son, named our black lab/mutt Ed after one of the hyenas in "Lion King".
We got more positive feedback, and smiles from that name than you could even imagine. My two newest dogs (Ed passed away 2 years ago) are Yenta (yiddish for loudmouth) and Haley.
Have fun with your newest edition.
