Hey gang! I've downloaded, and burned to CD, copies of the Koran (English and Urdu). Tomorrow morning, 9/11, 8:45 AM Eastern Time, I'm going to take it into my backyard and I'm going to set it on fire. Who's with me?
You can download the files here:
Thanks and hat tip to freebird5850
Fascinating.
There is a wax seal that can melt, outside would be better.
Just write the files to an old floppy disk and then run a magnet over it.
Do it Sunday, as others have suggested....
Ain't that many copies of the koran in the world. ;-)
It’s not just proper, it’s appropriate.
‘not my style’...I tend to agree; do not want to take the focus off Obama and his whining, corrupt minions as we head to elections. However, I would suggest that those who do want to burn a Koran do so with Christian humility in the privacy of their own home. Then call the media and tell them what you did. Bet a box of doughnuts it will cause the same reaction among the Musselmen and the newsreaders.
Alternative ways, if you can’t burn it and want to exercise your freedom of speech:
Take out pages and put them on the bottom of your shoes when your walk around.
Give it to your dog as a chew toy.
Pour pig lard/grease on it or wrap it in bacon.
That’s my gig. Privacy of my own backyard. I won’t be calling the liberal media, though.
Does Obama know?
We are. We're having a family and friends burn party. I've read on other threads, it's best to have a woman pee on it (yes, but don't ask), or to smother it in pork. Someone said a muslim claimed burning the koran is better (proper) than having an infidel possess it. So, you have to really dirty it up first.
It does matter. It's just a hate filled piece of paper anyway. It's the message of burning it that counts.
I think I will download several copies of the Koran to my Kindle and then burn it. What time are you doing it?
Yeah, he called me today. I told him to piss up a rope.
Would it be appropriate to wrap it in bacon then the gasoline?
8:45 was the time of the first crash. Give or take.
Yes. Best.
Quran burning events just makes us more like them (radical Islamists, that is).
It also needlessly - and stupidly - offends many sincere Muslims (like the Pakistani colleague who called me from Pakistan on 9/12/2001 to express his deepest condolences, and another Muslim friend whose only display of anger (ever) was as he talked about how the terrorists have distorted Islam for their own purposes.)
Hint for more effective strategy: Paul, speaking on Mars Hill in Athens used reason, starting by citing the idol set up “To an unknown god” and winsomely proclaiming truth and liberty. He didn’t start by taking out idols with a wrecking ball.
My sentiments exactly
