Yes indeed. The premise of my book and speeches is that “history of the GOP’s principles and the reasons they were founded should be a model for today’s Republicans”. Well stated.

With today's Republicans, you've already stated you have no qualms endorsing a "Republican" who has been endorsed by the Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, and the Jim & Sarah Brady campaign to prevent Gun violence (who prefer him over a Chicago Democrat!); is rated to the LEFT of Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton on many issues, and who has personally pledged to enact the vast majority of Obama's key agenda into the law of the land.

Accordingly, going by the historic record, I take it would have absolutely NO problem with the 1860s GOP nominating rabid white supermacists for office, and would happily endorse a "Republican" candidate who was even more extreme than Jefferson Davis or John Breckenridge on the issue of slavery, pledging to enact most of the CSA agenda's into law?

Do we have it on record that would have been given your blessing to the 1860s GOP running such candidates?
