RE: Anne Hathaway

Some Entertainment reporters dub her as the second coming of Audrey Hepburn. Do you or anyone else agree with this assessment ?

I don’t know what Hepburn has done, but I do know Anne Hathaway is quite naturally beautiful.

There won’t be another Hepburn. Not because she was so unique but because part of her appeal was she kept, I believe, her private life just that: private. Nowadays, actors and actresses think they have to parade their private lives and idiotic political and scientific opinions in our faces. Part of the beauty of past celebrities was their mystique, their carefully crafted public personas (even though I know a lot covered up some pretty egregious misbehavior), they at least believed they needed to be classy for their fans. This generation of celebrities think they need to let it all hang out, and I do mean ALL hang out. So, no, there won’t be another Audrey.

“second coming of Audrey Hepburn”

Absolutely not. Audrey is an icon.

Ann is cute and has charm, but she is not magnetic like Audrey Hepburn.

Plus Audrey could dance.

anne hathaway had one of those “special girlfriends”

Bride wars as promoted (disclosure: never saw it by choice) seemed to be a subliminat two women getting married movie.

As for alice in wonderland, you could have totally ommitted her part and not changed the movie.

I don't believe that Audrey Hepburn ever exposed her boobs in a movie. Anne Hathaway has and, just my opinion, they are magnificent

Second coming of Audrey Hepburn?

Anne Hathaway is an appealing actress, and may be about as good as we have out there, these days, but she is no Audrey Hepburn.

Rent Roman Holiday. Watch that last scene, where Audrey is before the press corps, and learns the truth about Joe Bradley. Do you think Anne Hathaway could telegraph that range of emotion, given the circumstances?

There was so much subtlety with Audrey Hepburn. Nobody else even comes close. Though I thought Helen Mirren did an excellent, and similar, job in The Queen.
