Well apprently you are not oppossed to using government power to impose your pet projects on everyone else. That makes you an advocate for big powerful government. Once the infrastructure for government intervention is built for what’s important to you, the same powers can be used by others. I resent tremendously your willingness to bring the full power of the state to bear on me. Its morally wrong. Protect yourself by being an alert driver. Leave me out of your big government plans. If your scared, stay off the road, or by a dog. Big government powers are the last resort of the scared and cowardly. I don’t want your cops sniffing around me to help you not feel scared. Shame on you!
My favorite (not) moment is when waiting to make a turn on red, there not being a break in traffic or not being able to see if there is a break, because of the big vehicle to the left. Always a given, the guy behind will honk and insist you turn.
Hey, as long as you’re driving on your own private property, go right ahead and yammer on the phone as much as you like.
So the answer is yes, you are willing to bring the full cohersive force of government to get what you want. That is a cowerdly act and counter to small government principles.
A friend of mine was doing just that one night, following a semi-tractor trailer rig in the right hand lane. A drunk driver came down the off ramp into traffic, the truck swerved, my friend now has a sign with his name on it at the spot. If you are on the freeway, it is better to be away from any and all vehicles and in the left lane. Anyone driving the wrong way on the freeway usually comes onto it from the exit ramp....right lane.
