Maybe it’s just the area in which I live, but I can’t imagine the appeal of a tiny, quiet dog. My dog has alerted me to strangers coming up the walk, someone trying to pry open the window to my son’s room, strange dogs that have gotten into the backyard...I NEED that; plus the steely-eyed gaze he gives to people on the porch has discouraged many a nitwit from arguing when I say I don’t want the pamphlet, the lawn mowed, or the steaks thawing in the back of his truck.

What kind of net do you suppose I was referring to? A mosquito net? I guess I made two mistakes
1. Assuming somebody that talked tough was a man.
2. Assuming everybody understood hockey. Pretty unlikely that a man and a woman would find themselves together behind the net, no? You must be southerners.
Don't you find it just a little suspicious that she claims Pit Bulls aren't a breed but a “type” yet pushes for “breed-specific” laws?
Don't you find it more than a little suspicious that she uses the HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) as an authoritative source?
The person who wrote this blog doesn't know much about dogs. Her statement about temperament tests is simply ridiculous (ATTS is looking for something different than does animal shelters) .
The arguments used are little different than the ones used by anti-second amendment types.

I have a rottie and the only thing he “kills” is his stuffed animals....beyond that, he is a 120 lb lap dog that loves to give kisses and be petted. He is the most popular dog at the local Petsmart whenever I take him in...he is so incredibly eager to please. I’m sure there are bad ones, but I’d trust mine with my life—or anyone else’s!!

The first Rottie I was exposed to jumped on the sofa with me, put his head on my lap... and fell asleep.
He even slept thru my checking his teeth... don’t ask. ;)
His owner understands big dogs & raised him accordingly...
