***ATTENTION*** Facebook launched Facebook Places yesterday. Anyone can find out where you are located when you are on Facebook via GLOBAL POSITIONING APPLICATION! To disable this feature:
Go to account
Account Settings
Notifications - scroll down to PLACES
UNCHECK 2 boxes (Places,Tags me at a Place ...&...Comments on my visits to Places) ......and SAVE CHANGES.
Please COPY to your status and pass it on.

Its would include anything that you log into FB from a wireless connection...at least that is how I read this. My desktop located in one place my ISP in a different state, lots of luck tracking me down with that on.

Of course not. But you just delete them and find other conservatives. My sister and I have "lost" a few family members because of our politics on FB.

Well, the nasty part wasn’t so easy. My sister, who is pretty new in politics, couldn’t understand why they were being the way they were.
We spoke about the Bible, where it says even a child will go against their parents in the last of days, etc., and we’re just getting rid of the garbage now, instead of later.
Better a fight on FB than a fist fight at a family gathering!

Exactly, Eff Em... So I cut the cord. Pretty easy. I tried to keep things working, but got tired of cutting and cutting and cutting. I don’t care about Farmville, so I cut out all the posts and blocked, then Mafia Wars, then the next and next and next and finally said Eff Em.
So we agree!

Oh. Too bad. I come to Free Republic when I want to talk politics. I talk about work and family life when on Facebook.
I suppose....snail mail? Do we still have that? I have not sent anything in two years at least. Phone? I call my Mother. Visits? Kinda hard from Italy...lol. E-mail? I do e-mail, but Facebook is quicker and can hit more people at once...
