Sydney and Chelsea Clinton.

DES MOINES — Sydney Rieckhoff, at nine years old a true cub reporter, has learned a big lesson about the media world she had thought she wanted to join.

Sydney, who is a “kid reporter” for Scholastic News, and her mother, Robyn, of Cedar Rapids, went to see Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, 27, in Vinton yesterday.

She has interviewed numerous candidates, and she approached Chelsea with a question: whether former President Bill Clinton would make a good “first man” in the White House.

But Chelsea told her she does not talk to the press, and, according to The Associated Press, added: “and that applies to you, unfortunately, even though I think you’re cute.

Congrats to Chelsea on this: she must have had one hell of a life growing up.

But I feel sorry for her husband. Not because of Chelsea, but because of this blast from the past:

I don't want to catch those flies. I certainly won't be cruel on her big day but she dissed an innocent kid. She isn't "poor little Chelsea".

None the less I wish her well and a political epiphany.

i never much followed her or her parents. upon seeing photos of her thru the years i saw that she danced ballet! the pics of her in Nutcracker are really quite nice and her posture & how she was holding her arms in ballet poses & ways was very very nice she was quite the natural

I agree. We don’t pick our families. I wish her the best and hope her day is perfect. But I can’t help but compare her wedding to Jena’s.

Considering how ridiculous your post is, I will continue the trend with: Well we had to sit and listen to a drunk cocaine user President’s daughter get married a year or so ago. But being it was President Bush I wished her well. We will have to sit through a daughter whose claim to fame is getting knocked up here in a few months and her mother could be the next President so we all have Presidents or wanna be presidents who have children who screw up and the parents do too....it is called LIFE!

Chelsea has NEVER gotten half the flak that other Presidents kids did. Palin wasn't even a President. Chelsea was protected. She stumped for her Mother's Presidential bid but wasn't asked questions? Why? Is she too delicate? Chelsea has always been protected where other politicians children were hunted.
