CULLMAN A local pastors complaint about a brand of underwear being sold with pornographic pictures on the packaging at the Cullman Walmart reportedly led to a recall of the product.
Frank Boren, pastor of New Hope Christian Center Church of God in the Springhill community, said he noticed the questionable underwear package while shopping at the store in May.
I was in there shopping for some underwear one day, and looked at the mens pictures on the packaging, he said. On a few of the packages they were very pornographic in the way they were dressed, in skimpy underwear, so I went to the manager and asked her if she thought it was inappropriate to be displayed.
After filing a few more complaints in the following weeks, Boren said the questionable packaging eventually disappeared from the stores shelves.
Cullman Walmart store manager Nancy Valentine said Borens concerns were forwarded to the corporate office, and an eventual recall of that packaging was likely the result of similar complaints.
A customer was upset about the picture on the underwear packaging and we sent his concerns to the home office, she said. I believe there was a recall on that product packaging later on.
Boren said he wanted to thank Valentine and Cullman County Sheriff Tyler Roden for their assistance in the matter.
When asked about his role in the reported recall, Roden said he listened to Borens complaint though the issue mostly fell to the discretion of Walmart officials.
He was concerned about the packaging on some of the mens underwear being too revealing, in his opinion, to the point that he thought it was pornographic, he said. This gentleman voiced his concerns about that.
And Elvis was THE DEVIL!!!!
The jury should be considered hung until pictures of guilt or innocence are provided.
Maybe I should complain, one day I saw a tote bag at WalMart with the “Obama” painted all over the whole thing. Even tho it was marked down to $1 from the original price, no one was buying!!! Eventually they all disappeared....but this is evidence of his popularity, no one buys him for even $1.
I think we're too "offended" by things in our society, but if Wal-Mart saw enough of a concern to remove the items that's their decision, possibly a good business decision.
I noticed the underwear packages one day when I was waiting for a son to try something on. Men’s string bikinis? It might not be pornographic, but it’s pretty darn gross.
SO, they’re still going to sell the offensive “pornographic” skimpy underwear, just not going to show people what it really looks like?
I’d really have to see this offending package to figure out what the hubbub is.
Did they just pull the packages from that one store?
Hey, guys want to feel pretty too! /s
Geez man, all you have to do is look at most of the people
in the stores if you want to be offended. I’ve been waiting for them to post signs, no animals or wildlife permitted in the stores! lol
They would work for me if I were 20 years younger, 20 pounds lighter, athletic, toned, good looking, etc, etc....
To borrow from Diamonds Are Forever’s Shady Tree - I have the body of Rock Hudson. If he knew what I was doing to it, he would be mad as hell.
Well if you want to see gross, walk behind a woman wearing
string bikini underwear (or no underwear) under summer shorts or pants. Their cheeks juggle like jello and the seem gets caught way up in their butt crack.....Gross.
You would have to stretch the definition pretty thin then to say a man dressed in underwear posing on a package are pornographic.
You might call it risqué, crude or offensive, but even in the eye of the beholder standard, it's still a stretch unless you get aroused by it .................which is a whole different topic

I am really personally sick of this attitude and offer no compromise. The foolishness of living on the edge of what is right or wrong is beyond words. I don't care if anyone agrees with me on the matter or not.
Either one ideology or the other has to go. God says he doesn't approve of that attitude and ultimately He is going effect his will whether you or anyone else believes He will or not. God is going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah or do something about the increasingly blatant immoral attitude of this nation, it has been said in a backwards sort of way.
Sounds like Frank Boren has some latent homosexual issues.
Perhaps the models were hung, hence the complaint about the packaging of the packages.
Well then circumstantial evidence points to guilty.
Ye ole Sears/MonkeyWard/JCPenny catalogs predated Victoria’s Secret.
Many a young lad and lass perused those publications.
