Which way is that cat turning? Close your eyes and imagine it turning the other way, and it reverses direction.

I had to let my eyes unfocus first before returning to the image.
This can’t be real. No ballet dancer has boobs that big!
I find if I look away then back at the ballerina it changes direction. Kind of gives you an insecure feeling of your mind.
The strongest psycho-physical cue we have for perspective is that of occlusion. If object A occludes object B our brains tell us that object A is closer. There are other cues, like stereoscopic vision, perspective, and others but occlusion is by far the strongest. That’s how our brains our wired.
I suspect due to the colors used and the background etc., that the images removes all occlusion cues. For any of the still images that make up the moving picture you can’t tell what is occluding what.
I think this is what makes the trick work.
Scientists theorize the size of the corpus callosum (the structure between your right and left lobes) enables some people's brains to work together better.
If see the image turning clockwise you are likely left handed.
Are you?
Good Kitteh!
LOL! It IS harder to do it with the cat.
Good one! LOL!
Funny............I didn’t know catnip came in a bottle!
I didn’t either. It just turned. Kind of reminds me of those posters that you had to stare at to see the picture that were popular for a little while.
Seems to work for me, too.
The 3D ones? I love those. I can make the image in them pop out almost instantly.

I finally got the cat to switch directions by gazing just to the left of it.
No, I’m right-handed. Odd.
Has it reversed at any time for you?
I just had to look at the ones in this post for about 30 to 60 seconds before they started turning around. It's kind of weird how that works.
Yes. The first time I looked at it today, about 10 or 15 minutes ago. Just for a few seconds, until it hit the 12:00 position.

It just did it again, but it doesn’t last long. Weird.
