Here is one to try books.half.ebay.com

It's by ebay but different, no bidding.

Amazon.com has used books. That’s what I would use. But there’s probably other sites as well. Good luck.

I have used this site for years to find the best bargains from a smorgasbord of sellers. The sellers with good ratings have generally been around for a long time.

Try Alibris.com’s textbook link. Lots of rare/out of print and obscure stuff. Very reputable. http://www.alibris.com/

Have you even tried purchasing old, and I mean old textbooks.

I collect text books (reading, grammer, and math) They are amazing treasure troves of information, especially the math text books. You get all sorts of information of the cost of everyday items from the 1800's and even late 1700's.

Do you have to own them? Most libraries can get you what you are looking for through inter-library loan, if they don’t have it on their shelves.

1) Register for a class at the U. You’ll be a student. You might even find one in your area of interest, which would be a boon. Along with that, you can contact universities in Ireland and the other nations of interest and ask them directly.

2) Amazon has mountains of used book sellers. If you don’t like what you see in their pages, many of the sellers list enough contact information for you to get their telephone number and call them.

your local library can ask for an “interlibrary loan” for a specific book to borrow.

And you can always check out ebooks on the Pirate bay...

Why not Amazon. It is by far the best website out there for buying books, DVDs and many other items. I use Amazon at least twice a month if not more for birthday gifts, DVDs and books for myself and many other reasons. Give them a chance and you will be hooked and glad that you are. They are very reasonably priced also.
