I am certain that most of these people who don't know we declared independence from England could probably name every American Idol winner and runner-up since the first season. It's all about prioritizing what is ‘important’ to know.

I’d bet $100 that no one could find even ONE homeschooler over the age of 10 that didn’t know the answers to when and who from our independence was won.
