Versus interviewed the headbuttee Julian Dean and he was amazingly nonchalant about it - like it was a normal tactic & perfectly ok by him as long as nobody hit the pavement. Sprinters sure are a forgiving bunch,lol.
But I can see why officials would want to discourage that sort of thing, especially at the finish.
I completely agree that they would want to discourage it but kicking him out of the Tour is big. After I posted here I went over to TourdeTwitter to see what the riders are saying. This is Mick Rogers' post:
