Definitely. With his build he will have difficulty ever really putting a lot of weight on, but he has to find a way to develop enough power to at least be respectable in the TT.
To continue with a theme, I again think this is why he would benefit from being on Radio Shack. I don’t think anyone else is even close to Johan and Lance (and Chris Carmichael, is he still associated with the other two?) in exploiting every part of training to get the victory in the TDF.
At this point Andy has an 11th and probably 2 2nd place finishes in the TDF. And I think we have seen improvement in his climbing abilities (amazing right?), but so far not in his TT. Sticking with the guy, Kim Andersen, who has gotten you here is admirable, but he hasn’t shown that he can get Andy where he wants to go. And we all know the definition of crazy.
Agree wholeheartedly. I would love to see it.
Don’t forget that whoever takes Andy will also have to take Frank. They won’t go to separate teams- and they shouldn’t. It makes the move more complicated, though, b/c you have to find the budget/spots for 2 riders instead of 1.
There were a lot of rumors last year about the Schleck brothers riding for Radio Shack. Maybe they’ll come to fruition?
