Oh, and here I was thinking that your connection to Thor was more along the lines of a spiritual nature It is. Seeing him that lycra, Scandanavian women everywhere sigh, "Sweet Yeesus!"

I’m guessing either Astana or Saxo Bank sets a blistering pace from the start. I can’t imagine there will be any breaks by anyone with GC hopes alive until they are the only one who can still go.

If Schleck can take any time out of Contador, the TT will be a possible replay of LeMonde and Fignon.
Does Schleck have the TT abilities to stay with Contador? He lost the Prolgue by some 42 seconds to Contador. My guess is he can’t hang and that is why the announcers kept saying he needed about 1:30 or more going into the TT. We’ll see what Thursday brings.....

Thanks. I'd heard a reference to the YouTube apology on the Versus coverage & had meant to go look for it. What do you wanna bet the team publicity & marketing directors & his agent were all in the room when he did that?
I don't doubt that he feels bad, but I bet they feel even worse because of the serious crimp this PR disaster puts on their efforts to sell Alberto to sponsors.
It's all about the benhaminas, bebé!

Last year Contador put 1:45 on him in the TT.

Last year Contador put 1:45 on him in the TT.
No reason to believe he can’t do the same again this year barring some unexpected problem.

Color me unimpressed with an apology. That’s the easiest thing to do after you’ve already done the wrong thing... he got busted and tried to minimize the damage.

I had a lot of anger in my stomach over AC's comments that he didn't see what happened to AS as he was already attacking. Nonsense! He was a good 30' behind Schleck when his chain came off. The person who had an excuse for missing it (and riding on) is Vinokourov
and he waited!Plus, give me a break: with race radios there is no excuse for not knowing what is going on up and down the course. Everyone knew what had happened and some chose to take advantage. Shame on them! To Phil (whom I adore): you don't stop the race for every puncture or mechanical but you DO stop the race when it's the yellow jersey or #2. You should know that.

Good summary luv2ski.
Alberto’s belated apology to me is a PR move.
Andy is being gracious by referencing it.
Time for him to go all out to bury AC tomorrow.....

Thor often takes the form of a mortal. He decides to have an 'encounter' with a beautiful woman who happens to has a lovely lisp.
He leaves but regrets what he did and returns a day later to tell her who he really is. She says:
"you're thore? I'm so thore I can't walk."
