I think I have my blog headline for today.
If cav would have gotten any points in the 1st stage he’d be out in front of Petacchi and Thor. Then if again if my aunt had....
On the other hand isn’t the investigator known for playing dirty himself? Probably best to protect himself even if it doesn’t look great.
Boy Cav is short. The podium girls are almost as tall as him and he’s standing on a podium.
I hope and prey that Lance is clean. He’s been one of my heros since I was a teenager. He inspired me to do my first triathlon back in the 80’s.
Look at Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz acting as podium girls... That’s pretty cool.
” He inspired me to do my first triathlon back in the 80s.”
Any truth to the rumor that Lance will focus on Hawaii Ironman next year?
Cav is definitely in the mix. Overall points standings:
1 Alessandro Petacchi (Ita) Lampre-Farnese Vini 213 pts
2 Thor Hushovd (Nor) Cervelo Test Team 203
3 Mark Cavendish (GBr) Team HTC - Columbia 197
He has said it and so has Carmichael.

I think it will be interesting to watch. He’ll certainly be one of the top cyclists, he can run a 3 hr’ish marathon, if he can get his swim under an hour and put all 3 together he’ll be up near the front.
Me too. I’m almost bitter that they are even going after him. Even if he was dirty, I kind of want to let sleeping dogs lie. I think he has used his position to do a lot of good for cycling in the US and cancer research. Doing damage to him will do damage to those things. I don’t know why anyone would want to see that.
” Hell certainly be one of the top cyclists, he can run a 3 hrish marathon, if he can get his swim under an hour and put all 3 together hell be up near the front.”
Thanks for the update. Something to look forward to next year.
What distances did he compete at during his very early years as a triathlete? I seem to recall he started in sports that way, and then moved to cycling.
Absolutely. Regardless of whether he's guilty or innocent, had he NOT hired a good defense attorney to shephard him through an process with investigators who've already made it quite clear in the press they are out to nail him, we would know for sure he was stupid!
Getting a well-qualified lawyer to look out for your interests in a situation like that only proves you are guilty of having good sense - nothing more, nothing less.
Did I miss some late-breaking gossip? Are they a couple now?
Ack! Don't do it Cam! Run for your life! LOL.
On the replay with the overhead shot, it looked like Thor was standing completely still while everybody else took off. I wonder what happened?
When he raced there was ironman and everything else. There was no official olympic distance, which is my favorite, nor standards for sprints. As a teenager, he was hanging with the best pros in the sport and winning from time to time. I would imagine NBC, who has the rights, will show the ironman live next year.
I’m sure they were there to push there new movie release Knight & Day http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1013743/
I like him as an actor but he’s definitely a little far out with scientolotgy, etc.
More dirty Tour tactics: a fan dressed in a HTC t-shirt was seen holding up a photo of you. When Thor saw it he was momentarily transported and lost all sight of the sprint.
LOL! I’m so sorry I gave you such a fright, Thor.
(Boy if he thinks I look scary in that pic, he should see me when I wake up!)
I was referring to your legendary beauty!
[Hear that Thor? Ya, das rîght min kjære, I am yöör Valkyrie. My vish is yöör cømmand!]
Good one. luvvy!!
