Reminds me of those one-line vanity threads: "Did you hear Rush just now? He's really on fire!!!!!"...or the RADIO play-by-play announcer who says: "Look at him go! Folks, you should've see that play! That's why he's got this team's number; man, what a play! But wait; it all depends on the spot..."
Don't you love those announcers?

“I dont know if I can explain it very well. It was distorted, unintelligible talking and other weird sounds that went on for 20+ minutes. It didnt sound like any foreign language Ive ever heard...more like a slowed down recording of someone talking, laughing, etc.”
That's easy. You stumbled on the clip where Barney Frank was tied to a chair and forced to read the Constitution.

What is the name of the program you were listening to?? Oh, I was listening to some secret transmissions from the planet Kavidar. My head picks them up sometimes when I'm wearing a particular pair of earrings.
I'm getting much better at understanding their language.

1) They pre-screen calls for political preference to liberal callers — unless they want to disparage the caller for being stupid because he/she is conservative.
2) They cannot go through a single show without making several anti-conservative and/or pro-liberal comments.
3) They hate people who drive SUVs and pick-up trucks just because they consider them conservative polluters.
4) They love anyone who drives a hybrid (esp. a Prius) or rides a bicycle. Except hybrid SUVs, which they still don't like because it sends the wrong message.
5) They make fun of people who live in the places that are in the middle of America or in Alaska as being stupid.
6) They are strongly opinionated about the ideal liberal life found in Boston.
7) They are strongly biased when discussing ultraliberal colleges.
I could go on, but you get the idea. The sad thing is that they would have a good show if they got rid of the liberal political bias. They used to be funny back in the early days before they got up on their liberal soapbox. But it is their show and they have a liberal audience. That is why they are on NPR.

I believe it was a problem with the radio station, which was Red River Radio. They broadcast from Shreveport, LA and a couple of other stations in that area. I tried to call them when it was happening, but got no answer.
PS
Haven’t talked to you in a long time, Quix! I remember you from shortly after I joined FR. Hope you are doing well.

Interesting.
Thanks for your kind words.
Radio stations these days seem to have few employees. If there was trouble, no surprise they weren’t answering the phones.
Doing OK. Stretched here and there. Par for the course! This IS boot camp, after all!
Hope you and those you love are walking close to God. Nothing else is worth anything—ever—but extra so in our era.
OThuga is destroying right and left.

You are not telling me anything I do not know. Meanwhile, liberal bias does not just exist in the NPR world. Whether you are on a college campus, as I am at present, watching the news (unless it’s FOX), or reading most big city newspapers, it’s a liberal spin. So??? I like to have my arguments well developed.
To: La Lydia
.... tie them to a chair and force them to listen to NPRs Fresh Air.That's far worse than waterboarding.
