Always good to see the Dodgers lose. :-)
An interesting note on Babe Phelps. He had previously played for the Cubs, and he hit .367 for the Dodgers in 1936. That’s the highest BA for a catcher in the modern era.

Also, that Aqua-Velva ad is interesting. Only one out of seven men shaved every day in 1940? I suppose that’s probably right, since so many men worked in factories.
I’d guess it’s more like half nowadays. It has to be least one-third, wouldn’t you say?
