Congrats on the first cherry tomato! Mine are still green.

I’m not sure about fall planting times.

I found a calendar that I have been keeping and looked ahead. I have a note every 2 weeks in August to plant lettuce. Something I read must have prompted me to write that. I looks like I take July off, and then start re-planting cool crops in August. First frost around here can come as early as the first week in October. I suppose that I treat spinach the same.

I don’t think I’ll ever have any zucchini. Germination has been dreadful, but I think I’ve been losing the seeds to birds. After the rain quit yesterday I found 2 seeds totally exposed lying on top of the mound. I pushed them back down, but I’ll have to plant more.

I have 2 yellow squash sprouted out of at least 15 planted. That’s enough, but it has been a surprise because those plants are supposed to be so easy to grow. Next year, I’m going to buy starts for some of these veggies at the garden store.

Congrats on the first cherry tomato!

Picked the 2nd one today. My husband commented that they are not as sweet as last year, although they are supposed to be the same variety.
