technology.

when the government has the technology to know every aspect of your life through cyber space, and law enforcement has machines to see through walls, through clothes, and detect life and metal, your silly firearms won’t be worth spit.

when there are cameras built into every single electronic gadget in the world and there are supercomputers capable of accessing all that every camera sees, your silly firearms won’t be worth spit.

When there are robots roaming the streets that can scan brainwaves to read thoughts and identify people by scanning their eyes and reading their dna, your silly firearms won’t be worth spit.

When your car and your house have their own brains and think for themselves and can be controlled by big brother, your silly firearms won’t be worth spit.

When the pentagon can implant viruses into insects that enable a super computer to remotely control the mind of those infected insects and see what the insect sees, your silly firearms won’t be worth spit.

When money ceases to exist and trade is done via accessing your cyber account which is encrypted and secured by the world bank, your silly firearms wont be worth spit.

When food is not allowed to be produced by “amateurs” for the safety of our world food supply, your firearms won’t be worth spit.

When artificial intelligence becomes cheaper than human intelligence, your life won’t be worth spit.

Plan your moves now for this inevitable future. Not for your sake, but for those that will come after you. Communists don’t think like us. We think 4 years in advance for some things, and 12 months in advance for most things. Communists think 40 years in advance.

I guess they've scared you into a pre-emptive surrender. What a shame. You could have walked in the sun with us on Victory Day.

Cultures have a habit of self-destructing. This current cadre in power is built on the donations of the productive to support the non-productive, the latter a group which will turn on its master and bite the hand that has fed it whe no more treats are forthcoming, and that day is rapidly approaching. We may have one more election first..

Book burnings will follow, and they won't be selective. Welcome to the new dark age.

...shoot the cameras and the robots first.

From my reading eyes-point-of-view, I am loving your posts. Mame rarely fails to disappoint in her conclusions, but man, MAME this was a FABULOUS post, just fabulous. And Windflier is still correct in detatched assessment.

There's a scene in the movie "Iron Man" where the bad guy is holding one of his chief scientists by the collar and snarling at him, wanting to know why he can't duplicate Tony Stark's Iron Man suit. He thinks he can force this technology out of people. It is an illusion as virulent in the executive MBA mindset as it is in politicians, I think!

Mame, that amazing technology is borne of creative individuals, not committees. Such can technology can only happen in two places: death-struggle war (where do you think computers came from?), or in a free market of self interest and prosperity. World War II showed that technologically, creative individuals switched their focus from commercial to wartime pretty well -- good enough to win WWII. Aviation-wise, it may have been pretty touch-and-go with the Germans (!!!), but the technological leadership of America's war machine was powered by capitalism and the free market, and that must have been crucial to our victory in that war, I would think.

What will power the war machine you envision in that fabulous, most impressive post? I think the post was powered by fear and anquish. Calm reality reassures us that communism is as destined to fail as a ice cube in the sun is destined to melt. Reagan knew it, as sure as he knew the sun would rise tomorrow.

MMT, you mistake Windflier pretty badly, IMO.
