It's finally getting to me, this change in my country. Life is just not how it used to be and will never be that way again. There have been other life changes--my husband's more-or-less forced retirement, October 2008 at a job that is in the finance industry with the subsequent cutback in hours, and that wonderful time in a woman's life when everything sort of sags and stops.
Worst of all is the breakneck speed at which the norms, traditions, and the Constitution have been shoved aside for some young,upstart, radical Communist's agenda, czars, and that d*&*ED executive order pen. That is depressing because there seems to be no way to change the headlong plunge or even slow it down. November 2010? HAH! As if they'll let a real election occur. Most of those-called "Republicans" in Congress aren't helping either. Where are the real, USA-loving, Law-abiding MEN? Where are their principles?
I want things to go back to the way they were, but that's not going to happen---that is majorly depressing. Freddie, Fannie and their puppeteers ruined that scenario, not only for the U.S., but for the planet. Hope they are proud of themselves...

People need to accept the fact that were on a path to nowhere. The ship has sailed and not even the biggest of landslides in November will stop what’s coming.
WHat I fear is the other shoe dropping, times getting worse, much worse and people reacting with uneducated, blind hate. lashing out at Corporate America and running full on into the arms of the hard left.
Its happened before, many times and I’m afraid it will happen again, right here.

If you are trusting in Him, then you know the rest of the story. You would be, like me, the most optimistic person in the world, because you know that NOTHING can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
You would also know that the strong delusion has been sent - hence, nothing makes sense anymore...and it's going to get worse.
Additionally, you also would know that in these final days He is calling out a people to Himself. Those who have ears to hear...those who will finally hear the voice of the Great Shepherd. That's why He has caused all the things that most put their hope in to fail them. He's taken away any last refuge, so that those who have yet to come to faith will put their hope in Him - the only REFUGE & STRONG TOWER to run to.

I’m pretty much in the same place. I turned 50 this month. Eeek!, enough in itself. My mother in law died 3 weeks ago and I have a feeling my own mother is not far behind (won’t see a doctor).
My husband has a great job, teenager son is straight A’s (well, one B+), so I have a LOT to be thankful for in so many ways.
There is an undercurrent of dread that colors my days. Certainly I keep up with things as a FReeper. I try to shake it off and stay positive, as I must for the people in my life, but I worry.
Trust in God is all I can tell you. He is much bigger than anything that happens in this life.

I'm afraid you are right. We have slid into the power play of the communists of America. They are outnumbered but not a chance of defeating them because of the continued damage they will do to the end of the Year. November is not much hope.
Lots of people who had faith in Jesus Christ have ended up in gas chambers. Jesus never promised anyone anything different. He never promised anything other than eternal life.
When it comes to the future of the COUNTRY, when I am inclined to be gloomy, I remember, and rejoice in the fact that there are more guns than Americans, and that a majority of the U.S. military will not kill American civilians, and will fight that part of the military and police who will.
