Race is a complete boondoggle. It means nothing. It's just a stick used to beat white people.
“The Egyptians have never been black.’
Not true, the Eegyptians of Upper Egypt were from present day northern Ethiopia. There are many images from ancient Egypt that portray black Egyptians.
But Cleopatra, as a daughter of the Ptolemies, inheritors of Egypt after the Macedonian conquest under Alexander the great; was most certainly not of African descent.
Heimdall black? He was described as “golden”, although that might have just been his teeth and the gilding of his equipment. He was also called “the father of all men” because among his children were slaves, freemen, and nobles. Does that make him African American? LOL!
Heimdall the white?
That’s just weird. From wikipedia:
“Heimdall (Old Norse Heimðallr, later Heimdallr) is one of the æsir (gods) in Norse mythology, in the Edda called the “white god” (hvítastr ása “whitest of the aesir Sæm 72ª; hvíta ás “white as” Sn. 104).”
You know who drives me crazy? Disney. They will have a black mother, chinese son, and white dad in a movie and think it’s ok. I don’t care about race but geez, it’s like watching someone shove their irrationality in my face to prove to me how PC they are.
Now as to Cleo, I watched the show about how Cleo wiped out her whole family a few months ago. I thought it interesting. Some people did have problems with the science but I wasn’t following it that closly in order to really check it out.

I really watched it for the history; these “reconconstructing the person from the skeleton” things have always struck me as iffy.
Not to make too big a deal out of it, but have you noticed that European figures are routinely portrayed by Blacks but no white is ever allowed to portray an African, Asian, etc.?
I remember the old kids' show "Wishbone." Wonderful show, and the dog was adorable. Anyway, whenever they would reenact classic novels set in England or Europe there were always Blacks in the cast playing Europeans. And I really thought nothing of it till they did the mandatory "African heritage" episode based on African-American folklore. In flashbacks to Africa the only white who portrayed a character was the dog!
It all goes back to the dialectic. Whites are the antithesis, Blacks the thesis. The antithesis must admit the thesis into every part of its inner life or it is evil. The antithesis must also allow the thesis to maintain a lilly-pure segregated society which no "foreign devil" may defile with his presence--or again, it is evil.
The perfect illustration of all this is a statement by the late Rabbi Me'ir Kahana' (zt"l, Hy"d). He pointed out that in Israel Jews are not allowed to "oppress" Arabs by "defiling" their communities, while Jews are required to let Arabs live anywhere they want to. If a Jew "defiles" an Arab community he is a racist. If he doesn't allow the Arab to "defile" his own community, he is a racist.
or all the blacks in Spartacus and the director does it on purpose and admits that publicly that it’s to be inclusive and facts be damned
same with Tudors and all the blacks dressed in Renaissance garb at The Field of the Cloth of Gold
however: Race means nothing?
lol...it means everything in places and can cost you your life if you ignore that
You are right. The idea a race is an empty waste of time. Instead time would probably be better spent at talking about the thing that race tries to answer. And that thing is identity. Case in point, some ancient, and even modern day, Egyptians by 21st century standards are considered black. Also, by the little record that we do have, it seems that the classical world was diverse both ethnically and phenotypically. One of the problems with this kind of waste of time (discussion that is) is that all positions of the argument tries to defend an identity that one holds as his or her own. This is done at risk of engaging in boondoggles that mean nothing which are just sticks used to beat White people, and Black people, and the various Asian people, etc unless youre the one receiving the blow. It is from that point on, the point of impact, when it becomes a matter of self-worth of identity. Sticks are used to both attack and to defend. By the way I didnt know a Thor movie was coming out cool. And yes a black guy as a God known as the White God I think is taking poetic license a bit far. Unless he looks white.
