What's yer round up number. How long you been a freeper? (Old Time Freepers Wanted)

Scythian - Since Dec 29, 1998
I've given my opus a few times but always came a crawlin' back. I figure if they go by "join date" we old timers will go first ...
So any active Freepers out there have joined dates more ancient than mine?

Wow, some great old timers here. I think we oughta get some Historial Plates or something for 10 years or so. Maybe a little icon next to our posts, a little american flag or something ... ? Hey Jim, any way your can do this? I think this would be way cool if you could id the original Freeper team for the rest of us. Say anyone with a 1998 or older sign on?

It would be fun to go into the archives and list the first, say 100 threads of FreeRepublic.

That would be unfair of us "reinstated" at a later date ;)
However, I would propose a "pre-millinium Freeper" award ;)

I was a lurker since Clinton’s impeachment. I officially joined the day after 9/11. I voluntarily closed my FR account during the heated Republican primaries when things got very nasty here. I couldn’t stay away though and rejoined in March of 2008.

This thread should be posted under whitewater. Additional keyword "bluedress."

The folks here before that were the original Whitewater gang. Honestly, though, it probably goes even further back when it was on Compuserve (I wasn't part of that). I came via a "Whitewater File" link from Drudge some time in 96 or so, I think.

February 20th, 1998 but I predate that by some years.
I very distinctly remember threads on the Clinton/Dole race of 1996.
To: MNJohnnie
OK, you want to hear some stories about the "old days"?
We used to stay on one or two threads most of the night debating things and tearing them apart sentence by sentence. The research skills of Freepers was incredible.
We could spot a troll a mile off anyone remember:
