Thank you, Geologist. I need to call my aunt in West Texas; are these temperatures normal for this time of year? Our temps have been warm but it should cool down for a few days. So far, we haven't had any 3 digits.

Amen to your prayer.

June is usually the hottest month, only the other summer months are almost as hot often 100 degrees.

We have had an exceptionally cool spring and until the last few days the mornings were cool. We have an elevation of about 3000 feet and near desert conditions with low humidity,: it generally cools off every evening during the night about 30 degrees, warming quickly when the sun is shining. we have had many cloudy mornings this year. Little rain except for once when it rained 5-6 inches in a couple of hours.

In West Texas they say ‘If you don't like the weather wait a few minutes,’ it will change. Maybe 40-50 mile winds. etc. There are no trees outside of towns or ranches. Many in town.

It was a hard land for the first settlers. Ranches for cows mostly. Much of it has no water. All wells. It is difficult to live off the land by growing cotton with our irrigation, impossible in some areas. etc. The oil business is the reason for most of the development.
