This is a 65 year old film that a man found in his dad's papers. It is perfectly appropriate for Memorial Day Weekend!
Enjoy and be thankful for that generation's sacrifices on behalf of us all.
On this Memorial Day, please join with me and pledge that you will honor their devotion to FReedom; that you will work with like-minded Americans to restore our nation to its rightful place of honor as the leader of the FRee world!
As Ronald Reagan repeatedly emphasized, "America is a shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere."
And, as he said in his farewell address to the nation, "I've spoken of the Shining City all my political life. In my mind it was a tall, proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, windswept, God-blessed, and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace; a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity. And if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get here. That's how I saw it, and see it still."
Our first step in this process is to commit whatever time, talents or treasure we have to ensure that only those political candidates who honor and respect the US Constitution are elected to public office in November 2010.
The second step will be to ensure that, once elected, they do the right thing by the Constitution and the We the American People.
