Thanks for that link. Those crocs are still ugly but they look really comfortable and really useful. I could see wearing them all day long, for working at home or doing errands or even walking the dogs.
One thing I like about crocs: I can take the dogs for a walk in muddy conditions and not have to worry about my shoes getting wet and icky. I just plunge right into the mud, streams, whatever, then can climb over rocks and go right on running. But I will only wear the normal type of crocs to go hiking, rather than in public, because the dogs aren’t really all that critical about my fashion choices. ;-)
I wrote my #155 on this thread before I read your posts #97 and #98... Go take a look if you get a chance....
I never tried the real crocs, but loved the airwalk crocs, which rumor has that they have been discontinued. Which was too bad because they were about $15.00 and usually you could get them on a BOGO 1/2 off, so 2 pair for ~22.50... They did change the material and they got “stiffer” feeling, not quite like walking on a cloud.
The drawback that remains for them is they do get rather hot, even with the little cut out holes.
If you get to my 155 you’ll see my feet are trashed and the rest of my joints not far behind. But also along the thread I came across a few posts about flip flops being good for knees, which ties in with the concern my orthopedisists have about the orthotics they gave me throwing my knees into a tailspin and kind of supports my chiro’s view to go with as flat a shoe as possible, forget arch support, etc., go ahead and pronate (He says he’s going to fix me up regardless...)
My dogs are pretty good about not being overly critical about my fashion choices. But then they also bump the bathroom door open to make sure I haven’t left through some hidden portal, so I think overall they’re pretty happy when I’m at least wearing something... LOL...
