as to Crocs ... hm.
i’m a former dancer and high heel wearer.
i could run in 4 inch heels - no problem.
later was the problem.
i now suffer from plantar faciatis (sp?!) and two dislocated toes (1 on each foot). got fitted for orthodics and hated the few shoes i could wear using the things. then i found Crocs sandals. oh for pity sake what a dream! and not ugly and not a flip flop. incredible comfort (no need for orthodics). i forgot how to post pictures but here’s a link to the Crocs Cleo.

i must say too that i’m menopausal and my little ‘trips to the tropics’ also have an effect on my feet so sandals are welcome!
at least i don’t wear flip flops and scuff my way through life. that drives me NUTS when i see/hear certain persuasions of women do that. ranks right up there with talking on the cell phone while bombing Russia in the bathroom. sick.

Thanks for that link. Those crocs are still ugly but they look really comfortable and really useful. I could see wearing them all day long, for working at home or doing errands or even walking the dogs.

One thing I like about crocs: I can take the dogs for a walk in muddy conditions and not have to worry about my shoes getting wet and icky. I just plunge right into the mud, streams, whatever, then can climb over rocks and go right on running. But I will only wear the normal type of crocs to go hiking, rather than in public, because the dogs aren’t really all that critical about my fashion choices. ;-)

My aunt is 90 in NYC and was having real trouble getting around, because her feet hurt.

My Dad got her some Crocs and she is so happy now!

I have loved Crocs for my little ones. No better shoe for toilet training, or when they step in dog poop, or a muddy puddle... They are so easy to scrub clean. And they never stink like leather sandals do.
