Ping.
If this were true then Thanksgiving Dinner would be a sweat lodge in my family.
Whatever!
“it caused or at least contributed”
sound familiar?
“saved or created”
I am no scientist but I would imagine the planet would have had to have been “Nut to butt” and 25 deep of these animals to have “at least contributed”
It would have to be a mountain of mammoths that you could see from space.
This wacky sh14 just makes me bananas. Like WOW 10 trillion grams! OMG! you mean 10 billion kilograms? what is that in terms of total atmosphere? I am guessing in order to make an impact it would have to have some scientific notation attached to it.
Sorry just venting. Like I started with, Whatever!
Our science community has lost it’s collective mind...

The sudden draining of Lake Agassiz at the end of the last glaciation is much, much more likely.
There's the major source for junk science. But these climate 'scientists' just don't get it...or don't want to. So they just keep on doing it and develop 'models' that fit the extrapolation...*sigh*
Mammoth farts - were they truly mammoth? The mind boggles. As the earth turns, the woolly mammoths break wind and burp up their lunch. And the earth cools. Or warms. Or whatever.
What utter crap. The dead plants make methane whether they are digested in a stomach or rot on the ground. Just because the plant passes through a stomach before going into the soil changes nothing.
I love America! What a country. Where else on God’s Green Earth could a certified moron get a PhD? Only in America.
Libs are utterly clinical.
So ten trillion grams would equal ten billion kilograms. By contrast, the total human emission of carbon dioxide (including emissions caused by changes in land use) is about 29 billion kilograms. But wait—methane is 30 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Thus those ten billion kilograms would have been the equivalent of releasing 300 billion kilograms of carbon dioxide. And yet, the earth didn’t heat up by ten degrees back then.
Just noticing.
More likely, as the earth chilled mammoths died out. That is the simplest and most reasonable theory. It seems now that all science is political, what garbage.
A number of sites have been found where a herd of mammoth were driven over cliffs, and then flensed and eaten by humans. The paleo-archaeologists speculate that the herds were driven by hunters using torches to crowd and panic the herd.
This form of hunting, a bit like using dynamite for fishing, is a more likely cause for their decline and extinction.
cause and effect, class, cause and effect
