I am thinking of getting the Carol Burnett Show on DVD. I have lots of fond memories of that show.
One of THE funniest TV shows ever. Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence, Lyle Waggoner ... classic.
There's also a lot to be said for the Dean Martin Show and the Celebrity Roasts too. Funny, funny stuff. You just don't see shows like that on TV anymore.

“Carol Burnett” is available via infomercial. The ad for it has one of the funniest episodes — a spoof of Gone With the Wind. The scene where Scarlett (Carol Burnett) comes down the stairs in a gown made out of drapes (complete with the curtain rod) is hysterical.

Rhett (Harvey Korman): That gown is gorgeous.
Scarlett: Thank you. I saw it in a window and I couldn’t resist it.

They don’t make comedy like that anymore.
