This year's Miss USA winner will not lose her crown, despite photographs emerging of her grinding up and down against a pole in a blue tank-top, hot red mini-shorts and stilettos.
Less than 24 hours after Rima Fakih won the pageant on Sunday night, scantily-clad photos showing her pole dancing were published online.
There was speculation Fakih — the first Arab-American to win the competition — might lose her crown but the 24-year-old's publicist has put to rest those rumours.
Her spokesperson told ABC News Fakih would continue the Miss USA publicity tour and take part in the Miss Universe pageant to be held later this year.
The photos of Fakih gyrating on stage were taken in 2007 for Detroit radio show Mojo's "Stripper 101" contest, which Fakih won.
Pageant officials called the radio station after the photos emerged and asked to see the rest.
"They couldn't tell us what their intentions were and we didn't want to give them anything that might cause her to relinquish her crown," the co-host of Mojo, known only as Spike, told ABC News.

Miss Fakih sounds like your average college-age American woman to me.

Trump is a showman. The selection of a muslim was no accident. Also the question asked of Miss Oklahoma was planted by Trump. In order to stay in the news next year’s winner will be a transvestite.

If I was Vanessa Williams, I’d demand my crown back. She was forced out years ago because Playboy pics of her surfaced. This is every bit as bad.

Ok, well, it wasn’t clear that she hadn’t taken off her clothes-—I thought that her in clothes was pictured only because we couldn’t post the other shots here. In that case, I agree.
Thus, all this talk about her being an opportunistic, pole-dancing slut is secondary. The same with all the guys who wave off any controversy about her with the phrase "But she's hot!"
BTW, she's not that hot. Hardly an All American Beauty. I just wonder what Trump's price was to be bought off like he was.
Yeah, but how many past Miss America winners can you name? No such thing as bad publicity.
I didn’t agree she shouldn’t be banned for other things-—just not for pole dancing in her clothes.
