Since the Icelandic volcanic eruption weeks ago, I have been monitoring this site: http://en.vedur.is/earthquakes-and-volcanism/earthquakes/myrdalsjokull/ The tremors in the last few hours are the most I have seen in weeks. The concern is that when this volcano erupts, Katla has erupted in the past. Katla is one of Iceland's "Two Angry Sisters" and is implicated in the social and economic conditions which led to the French Revolution. This geological activity could have a dramatic impact on the economic survival of Europe and for the false profits of Global Warming. Last night on the same webcam there were huge lava fountains going up with probably 10X the ash. Right now there is very little activity.
When a million people freeze to death and die of starvation because crops fail, the prophets (seeking profits) of Global Warming will be called “false”. Another poster, (who corrected me with the Laki volcano information) has brought up a point I too have been following. The Solar Cycle we are now in is well below the predicted activity levels. Google Solar Cycle 24 and see what’s going on. The possible connections between Solar Activity and Climate Change are not understood, but there do seem to be links. There may be a connection between solar activity and the Earth’s geology. If so, stand by for volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
Last night yielded some awesome pictures for someone thousands of miles “up wind.”
So until/if that happens, those prophets shouldn’t really be called false, should they?
I see your point, but I don’t feel that way about it. Yes, we’re all going to die, eventually. I see it as a reminder that the power and wonder of nature and the universe is far beyond the comprehension of man. We should seek to understand, but never become so arrogant as to think we actually do.

Eyjafjallajokull has been very active lately. Icelandic geologists are watching the other volcano very closely, so far no signs of awakening have appeared.
I’ll acknowledge that Al Gore may be a “genuine” prophet. I personally think it is about as likely as me becoming the Queen of England, but hey, I could be wrong. (admitting I may be incorrect is not a trait that I share with the proponents of Anthropogenic Global Warming)
True, I prefer that to being 168 miles downwind of Mt. St. Helens which is where I am.

I still love that movie. I remember the first time I saw it I realized close to the end that I had been watching a young woman running around half naked and didn’t even notice.
It just seems that calling someone that predicts what may happen in the future, false, is not possible.
I believe it is possible to categorize Al Gore as a false prophet based on his lack of scientific experience, false statements of fact, and hypocritical lifestyle. It is an incovenient truth that he proposes to “know” what will happen with such a certainty that there is no room for doubt. Meanwhile, he has made hundreds of millions of $$$ as a result. Even if what he preaches comes to pass, I do not trust his motives.
I don’t care for him either, I just don’t know how one can honestly call someone that predicts what may happen in the future, false. To call that someone false, they would have to know the future, wouldn’t they?
I admitted I could be wrong and do not know the future. However, would a “true” prophet enrich themselves with worldly wealth and live a life which contradicts their teachings?
