I just switched from pro life to pro choice because I am a liberal who likes watching babies die and from pro gun to anti gun because I don't give a crap about my property or the safety of my family. I've always supported amnesty for illegal aliens. Because I profit off helping them steal identities..
It’s only supposed to be 95 today, but the wind is back...gusts of “up to 35 mph.”
This is the kind of weather that fools newcomers to the desert. It sucks the water out of you, but one doesn’t feel that ~ just the breeze on the skin. People don’t realize how close they can come to death if they aren’t careful out here.
Me? I hate the wind.
Good morning. Warm and humid here. It was raining a little when I got the catz in last night, but I don’t know if it continued. I’d better check the plants!
Then we have to go to Walmart again ...
morning. meeting starts soon.
Rocket shovels!
It’s gonna be hugh!
Waaaaay back when, in the days when kids were allowed to build rockets and explose the backyard, my brother and I dug a hole by detonating it.
These days, the sounds of explodies accompanied by giggling children dancing gleefully among the ruins would have ‘the authorities’ at your front door quicker than you could say “Homeland Security”.
Ah.. wind.
It’d dry up my sinuses.
I’m sneezing, now. Thanks to the wind. When the heat was way up last week, and there was no wind, I didn’t sneeze. Just coughed when the A/C came on and the neighbor’s second-hand smoke came through the vents.
But I have little surgical masks handy, for just that purpose!
Frank’s cough seems to be easing up finally.
I’m doing Boy Scouts Youth Protection Training on another screen. Hopefully Frank will sleep long enough for me to finish.
Poor Frank. I hate when they feel miserable.
I finally found someone who will help me with that miserable student loan form. That thing has been a thorn in my side for 12 years, and even worse the last year because it has become so complex.
*grrrrr*
Good luck! Frank’s nap went well, so we’re off to Walmart. We have to leave for the swim meet shortly after 4:00, so they get an early pizza-supper.
I don’t know if anything will be accomplished, but I absolutely, positively have to get it finished by July 2. It’s just so doggone overwhelming. (And idiotic)
(((Big Virtual Hug)))
I’m hoping we’ll have tornadoes or something, rather than taking all 8 to the swim meet ;-).
Welp, she couldn’t do much but make sense out of the chaos, but her reassurances and willingness to help (empathize) made a lot of difference.
She broke the entire thing down into bite-sized pieces that I could deal with, and I think that’s what I needed more than anything.
(And your {{{BVH}}} counted as {{{BVP}}} when it came to feeling better!! Thanks!)
YOu’re welcome. It’s raining here now. My neighbor Vicki brought over a dish of giant green tomato worms; it was gross. I took them back to her with some notes about how to get them off her tomato plants!
OhGROSS!!!
I’d have not been polite, at that! I HATE those things! I even asked my dad why he let them in our garden, when he KNEW my sister and I wanted the tomatoes more!
Back in the airport again, 2-1/2 hours before departure. It started to sprinkle as I was driving through Minneapolis.
I told Vicki she could pick them off and have her son smash them with a rock, but she said she would have him take them out in the woods and turn them loose so they can be moths eventually.
Got laid off this morning. Position eliminated due to budget constraints. They brought back in the same contracting firm that they originally hired me on to replace. I spent two years fixing everything they effed up, and now they are right back in there effing things up again.
Already they've had the phones crash and the gateway freeze out all SNMP traffic. None of my doing, they did it trying to change out all of my passwords even though I gave them a copy of my "cheat sheet".
I feel sorry for the rest of my Tech Team. They've some hard days ahead for them...
Hmm... Got any 7’s?
It poured on the swim meet. Worst of all worlds ... they had to stop it because of thunder, but after over an hour decided they could start again. I brought the little boys home, and DP will go get the swimmers around 9:00.
It seems there's a good chance I'll be back here again. We have two companies that can provide meeting rooms.
