[history]
I just switched from pro life to pro choice because I am a liberal who likes watching babies die and from pro gun to anti gun because I don't give a crap about my property or the safety of my family. I've always supported amnesty for illegal aliens. Because I profit off helping them steal identities..

And besides, those California vintners needs support too.
Though I was surprised to learn last month that NC has an industry too. They were demonstrating some of the wines at my hotel one day.

I like Taylor Vinyards from New York, but I don’t see much from them these days. Of course, wine racks are so full of so many wines from so many places, that I can’t see the forest for the trees. My bad.

NC does have a wine industry. Shelton Vineyards, far out in the west, is pretty good, and Duplin in the east.
The Scuppernong grape, used in some local wines, is not considered the “real thing” by the wine industry.

There is a vineyard/winery in Parhump, about 60 miles to the west “Over the Hump,” but for me, the wines are too expensive. The Aussie and New Zealand wines are cheaper.

Just got the announcement. Our annual international sales conference was going to be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort this fall, but the reopening of the place won’t be until after that. Not that I was likely to go...

Try “Why We Fight” for GREAT WWII propaganda (from our side!) for a refreshing change from today’s ABCNNBCBC garbage.
The US Navy series was very good also. Sobering.

I drove through Memphis, once. No offense to the residents of TN, but I really wasn’t impressed. I grew up with C&W when it really WAS! But I think Memphis is like Hollywood: over-rated.
Please, don’t bring me any souvenirs, sion!

Golly... I liked “The World At War” and “Victory At Sea” and I also liked the most recent historical efforts of “WWI.” It would be nice if I could get all the series and watch them several times before I go to meet the General. I’d like to see it all here before I get the Bird’s Eye View, there.
History is awesome. I sure wish we had something beside Michener’s “Iberia” to tell us about Spain.

Can true intelligence be smothered?
You could have guessed that in the column...if you want, I’ll tell him you read it and have guesses because you guys are so wierd.
He likes feedback, but I ain’t smart enough. Do you need the link to his column? I don’t recall how often he has a blog there, but at least once a week.
Maybe I’ll get sprinkles just for referring y’all!!

"Are we happy now?" Of course we're happy now.
I'm back from the cool breezes, sweet air, and lulling church bells of Pennsylvania to the humidity, high temperatures and higher taxes of Maryland.
What's not to love?

“Can true intelligence be smothered?”
Yes.
In more ways than one.
I deal with truck drivers at work, and can prove that intelligence can not only be smothered, but numbed and drained.

It’s an economies of scale issue, on the one hand, and a tax issue, on the other hand. I can get a tasty California, Australian, or South African wine cheaper than a comparable North Carolina product. But sometimes you just want to support the state.
