I just switched from pro life to pro choice because I am a liberal who likes watching babies die and from pro gun to anti gun because I don't give a crap about my property or the safety of my family. I've always supported amnesty for illegal aliens. Because I profit off helping them steal identities..
Yep, there are all kinds of terms for being “in but not of” when it comes to religions, but the “jack-Mormon” has to be my all-out favorite. ;o]
Gee, maybe when Pat is a little older, you’ll send him to me for a week or two for some much needed comic relief?
You and apple juice, me and grape juice. What a pair to draw to!!
Thanks for the update.
Hmmmm . . . reading material . . . I have tons . . .
And also man the used book table at church . . .
what are her interests?
I told her that Chris has had his “freebie” and that was it. We used to tell our friends that we would help them move house ONCE.
= = =
INDEED . . .
though . . . if one gets in a period where one has to move more often than one’s friends . . . that can be a problem.
I assume it still is the law . . . when I was in my undergrad program . . . it was the law that one had to pass the swim test to graduate from college in Arizona. I think it was true for High Schools, too—unless one had a certified medical reason not to.
Lots of lakes in AZ.
I discovered I’m not a strong swimmer.
TBS gave me a clue about that, but nearly drowning in a rip current off Maui confirmed it.
I stay the heck out of water that isn’t in a confined space.
OK...where’s the chocolate?
When I get tired of swimming, I just float until I’m rested enough to swim some more. ;o] My mother couldn’t swim, but she wasn’t afraid of any body of water...she couldn’t sink, either.
Her interests are Eclectic! She’ll get a pile of magazines if they deliver mail at Wherever They Are. And she can read Plutarch again.
Maybe I’ll try to pull together a small dense reading care package and run the titles by you to see if it’s worth bothering with. I suspect storage space on board is not very great.
She was renting space in other girls’ lockers to store some of her books! The problem right now is delivery. If they get mail at this stop, it will be the first time since Pearl Harbor, in early April.
When she’s in Seattle, she goes to the bookstore, and she’s tried to buy books in the Pacific, but English-language selections are very limited.
When she gets back to the US, we can find out what books she wants and see if you’ve got any of them. I know she wanted a complete “Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire”; she’s only got the first volume.
So YOU say. I’ve already showered so that photo is old.
*snirt*
Hmmmmm
Fair enough.
The Decline and Fall . . . I gave away decades ago.
Could no longer manage to haul around my GREAT BOOKS set.
LOL.
I try to get small paperbacks! Quite a few classics turn up in our used book store. I’m collecting things for when Anoreth gets back.
GREAT . . .
off to church.
Us, too. Have fun!
There is a small book store here, that is currently selling some of the older books. I’ve hesitated to stop because...I might want to buy them all!
Let us know what the wish-list contains.
