I just switched from Republican to Democrat (Viking Kitties secretly switched his meds)

I just switched from pro life to pro choice because I am a liberal who likes watching babies die and from pro gun to anti gun because I don't give a crap about my property or the safety of my family. I've always supported amnesty for illegal aliens. Because I profit off helping them steal identities..

I bought a mountain bike 30 years ago, and really enjoyed it. That is, until Igor came home from Panama, went for a ride with me and cut right in front of me to make a right turn. He lever looked back to see where I was, and I hit him so hard, both bikes were destroyed.

I flew over my handlebars and landed on my left knee and hands. The gloves saved my hands, but my knee just kept swelling up. We went to the doctor, and he drew out some arterial blood, and said, “Uh-oh.”

That wasn’t exactly my thought, but I do recall that Igor never did apologize.

No more bikes for me. Either that, or no more Igors....

You are always getting sick, Sion.

I would like to posit that you don’t wash your hands enough.

If you decide to reply that I sound obsessive/compulsive, I doubt I would argue with you. ;-)

But, I hardly ever get sick. |-)

How are you doing?

Most people get what’s going around because they shake hands with people who have what’s going around. If I don’t shake hands (I like hugs, actually) I don’t catch anything.

I mean, I have enough trouble as it is. You could always wear surgical gloves and when someone asks why, you could say you might be coming down with something and don’t want to pass it around.

Try it for a while and see what happens.

I’m OK, I think. It’s hot outside, and for once, there is no breeze. It’s going to be 111. YES!!!

I passed my 66th birthday, and my son’s 46th, and asked him how it was possible that I have a son who is older than I am. He didn’t think it was funny, but I sure did.

It’s taken several days for me to adjust to the consequences of being 66, but I have a friend who is going to help me with the paperwork. *grrrrrr*

Oddly enough, I thought I was doing OK and ended up having a minor (?) meltdown yesterday. My bad.

What’s wrong with turning 66?

It beats the hell out of dying at 65!

Chin up, young lady!

Were you able to go to the pool?
I need some Restorative, but I don’t want to go out and wrestle with Miss Daisy. She acts rather testy in the heat.
Maybe I’ll just wait until Monday.
Maybe.

Actually, nothing is wrong with turning 66 because I don’t feel a day of it.

It’s what happened in conjunction with the birthday that had me so twisted out of sorts and melting down.

I don't wear gloves, either. People would think I was rude, which I try not to be. (It is possible I am not as successful as I hope)

I just wash my hands after touching anyone, or almost anything....door handles, shopping carts, shared pens at work, etc. Germs live on these surfaces for up to 48 hours.

If I haven't been able to wash my hands, I take special care to keep my hands away from my eyes, ears, nose, and face in general.

I was watching Rush L on the Dittocam during a break one day, and someone came in to the studio, and shook his hand. He then rubbed his hands all over his face, and I immediately emailed him to ask him not to make himself sick.

Have you ever realized that every door knob outside your home has been touched by people who have _______ on their hands?

Anyway, I think that's why hubby and I don't get sick with colds etc.

Hug!

I frequently get something that's not going around and it's sinus-related (a weak spot for me) -- and that usually strikes when I am overtired, as I often get when traveling. When I'm home for a time I'm usually fine.

So what am I doing about the month and half I have this summer without any planned business travel? I'm planning a trip, to a high-school reunion near your part of the world. The reunion might be okay (I've never been to one before), but I get to show LoM around my home town.

I've got the air-miles for the flights, the hotel points for the stay, now just need to see if I have the car rental points for a car.

Good morning! It’s my brother’s birthday (46) and the anniversary of D-Day. Maybe the Netflix streaming has “The Longest Day.”

We did go to the pool. There was some thunder, so we spend a while at the playground until they opened the pool again. Bill didn’t want to swim - worn out from the morning, I guess. DP made the byos get in the water. Pat was on the verge of deranged, “I know you’re only doing this so you can drown me!” I made it clear that if we wanted to drown him, we’d do it privately at home, not in front of 18 other people including 3 on-duty lifeguards. Twink.

Oh, and *then*, as it was a little chilly, he kept saying he was going to die from hypothermia, and then all the normal children had to ask what that was (and if it’s contagious), and he was so involved in lecturing that he kept getting his mouth full of water, and then he had to explain why water in the lungs is bad, and so on ...

By the end of the summer, we’ll probably be in the newspaper, “The family with that alien kid.” There was a Russian woman there who was cracking up, and all the lifeguards were snickering. Maybe Bill kept at sufficient distance that he wasn’t identified with us; that would make him feel better. He can go to the pool by himself.

Seaman Anoreth heads for the next place ...

We're supposed to pull in later, but I have duty. After we moor up I can tell you where we are, at least, even if nothing interesting happens on my duty day.

I would hope that we'd have a fairly calm day, since the last week has been ridiculously busy. 12 hours of at-sea fueling and stores, port and starboard watches on the gun mounts after some suspicious fishing boat almost collided with us in Singapore straits, 4,000 gallons of seawater flooding in the engine room at 2 in the morning ... Anyway, I'm hoping nothing much happens after we moor up later.

I kind of learned to do butterfly in boot camp so I could pass the swim. This was after being told that dog-paddle was not a stroke. I didn't know that previously. Maybe you should switch Ash to one of those natural food diet things ... where you cook meat and stuff. That seems like a lot of work, but since she apparently doesn't like dog food anymore ...

There are rumors that the radio OS's have ship's mail, so some magazines and bank statements may turn up fairly soon. That would be nice. I'm out of new reading material.
