I always suspected Shelby Lynne of being a lesbian. She, like a handful of other "country" artists, is critically acclaimed by the NY music/literary scene - much like Lyle Lovett, who also has an ambiguous sexual orientation.

I remember Shelby Lynne, but not well enough to remember anything she recorded. I used to see her on television occasionally.

I don’t know that she was good enough to have risen to stardom anyway.
