Not for years... Ole' Garthy Brooks came out in the 90's fully supportive of gays while many others...gave up the traditionally conservative position years ago. Let's not forget Kati Lang the dike, and there are others as well. Country of old is long gone, replaced with pop stars with a twang and exposed cleavage.
she's a big supporter of the military and has been to Iraq...
supposedly does a lot of charity work...
just because some never heard of her doesn't make her nonexistant...
I couldn't tell you who the big rock bands are now...
I don't know what to make of this announcement....
I suppose it has more to do with facing your reality than anything else....maybe her relationships are just too obvious to keep it secret anymore...
I don't hate these people....I don't think they should marry or adopt or pretend....but I do not hate them....
but what I heard was that she was a rebel type in Nashville, and Nashville only wants the quiet good little girls who don't make a fuss( you can still be a slut like Faith Hill but just got to be quiet about it...LOL)
at the same time, I can't be the judge of their worthiness before God....I'm sure God has a lot more forgiveness in HIS heart than we could ever muster....
homosexuality to me is such a great moral burden and I think our loving God takes that into account...
God shall indeed determine who is acceptable to Him, but He has not left us without inspired instruction and example of how to be acceptable to Him.
There is a huge difference between using one's commonsense based on knowledge of right and wrong, according to the Bible, to determine(righteously judge) whether we are living in accordance with His Will, and in pronouncing judgement upon someone's soul.
Well, I don't want to hijack the thread for an ongoing discussion off the subject, so I'll leave it with this link to a piece that encapsulates my belief on the subject of "judging":
I like country. Yet, I have never heard of her.
never heard of her....but suffice it to say she is following the Dixie Chix public relations paradigm.
I had a HUGE crush on her about 15 years ago - man, was she beautiful. Now that her career has hit bottom, she comes out with the announcement to cater to a new group of “fans.”
I loved the song “I Already Do.” Now, she’s just a fraud.
