The idea is that the yogis can draw energy from the spiritual universes and thus can learn to live without taking energy from this particular material universe. I suppose an atheist would call it impossible, but a Christian should understand the concept, even if he is likely to condemn the yogi's energy sources as demonic because he doesn't really believe God would ever do that for him. :)
Conservation of mass should work also.

I think this has been documented in Christian saints also.
Please note that even Jesus said, "bread alone", meaning that while physical nurishment is necessary, so is spiritual nurishment. There is a physical world that follows physical laws and a spiritual world that follows spiritual ones. We have a foot in both worlds. If we ignore the laws of physics by not eating, we will have both feet (and everything else) in the spiritual one. God bless, namaste, and shalom!
