Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is headed to Boston Wednesday to make an announcement about a controversial wind farm project on Cape Cod that could put the Obama administration at odds with one of the president's biggest supporters: the Kennedy family.

I do believe the Kennedy family is about as relevant today as a warm pail of piss. Maybe bammy’s boys are trying to shine up Sen Brown?
Patches the drunk-druggie is gonna get chopped up in those blades!
Thanks.
Wow, the Kennedy Klan isn't gonna like this... LOL

The Third Reich was also interested in "wind power"
Excerpt:
...American readers will find two sections particularly intriguing: development of wind energy in Germany during the Third Reich, and a critical comparison of the German, U.S., and Danish wind energy programs in the modern era.
Die Geschichte der Windenergienutzung contains the most extensive discourse to date on the Third Reich's interest in wind energy and an unflattering matter-of-fact description of attempts by some of the grand names in German wind energy to curry favor with the Nazis.
After they seized power in 1930s the Nazi's began a systematic program for assuring self-sufficiency in time of war. The development of wind turbines became a part, though never a big part, of this program.
In a chapter provocatively titled "Inventor or Charlatan: The Era of Big Wind Power Plants," Heymann reveals his discovery of a damning telegram from Hermann Honnef to propaganda minister Goebbels pleading for a favorable word from Adolph Hitler on Honnef's proposal to build towering multi-turbine monstrosities. Playing upon Nazi ideological desire for technological superiority, Honnef implored, "Help open the way for German ability! I am waiting for the Führer's call! Heil Hitler! Faithfully yours: Hermann Honnef."
In a subsequent chapter Heymann describes the Ventimotor company, its test center near Weimar, and its key personnel. The company was formed in late 1940 by Walther Schieber and Fritz Sauckel to develop wind turbines that could be used in the war effort....
The Kennedy’s are not the point, the liberal hypocracy is.
But I don’t think Zerobama would have Ok’d it when Ted was alive.
Turning ~ he’s turning in his grave, and shortly we’ll get this sucker hooked up right and he’ll be spinning in his grave!
Not unless his high is about 400 feet up.
But you have a point. In Texas there was opposition because a crow flew into one. It must have been an old and sick one, otherwise why don’t we blame trees for killing birds?
Aren’t environmentalists the only ones who think wind farms are beautiful? Wind farms are hideous!
Interesting.
The Germans could also make gasoline from coal.
Wind farms are bird killers too, but the green wackos don’t give a crap about birds.. or scenery for that matter. “Green” is code for Progressivism which has nothing to do with the environment.
But 5 miles out to sea?
Ted Kennedy did’t like them because on a clear day with binoculars he might be able to see one or two.
More birds fly into windows in buildings.
More birds are hit by cars.
More birds are killed by little kitty.
Even more birds eggs are eaten by kitty.
But birds don’t fly into trees and get killed I guess.
This is a just an excuse.
When you pay 6.00 a gallon of gas, you might not care so much about birds flying into windmill blades that don’t rotate very fast.
Also there are ways to prevent this, so it is just an excuse.
Thanks for the ping! I was not aware of the connection with the Third Reich.
Think we could harness some of that energy :-)
I think there’s a lot of hot air we could harness from the Kennedy clan.
The list, ping
Excerpts in my post #5 above.
ROTFL!
You're welcome, NYer. I wasn't aware of it 'til recently either...
