I guess they need to learn more about cats. They roam anywhere they please and move all over the place. I have observed a lot about cats over the years and I’d disagree with this article!

What’s the problem? Cats can’t read.

As far as the troublemaker, it’s time to stop beating that dead cat, missy. The pres_ent is brokko, not President Bush. Your, your media’s, and your pres_ent’s continued attacks on Bush are looking more and more insane as the destruction of our country goes on under brokko’s watch.

Saul Alinsky should have said, “Blame your predecessor, but don’t overdo it, or you’ll look like an asshat.”

Build cat appartments to look like the new library!

Hi Slings, this article made my day early, coming off of a very rough week for me.

“Quick, someone teach the feral cats to be Mexican cats.”

LOL I don’t know, my formerly feral, possibly Mexican cat (we lived about 5 miles from the Mexico border when we adopted her, so who knows where she was born) doesn’t like to move. She’s fine after she gets to her new home, but the getting there part is a pain. And stressful to her.

Poor kitties...life as a feral cat isn’t safe. Why don’t they round them all up, have a mass spay/neuter party and then at least the population will have a “sell by date”.

There really is a group that takes care of these feral cats. Unbelievable!

(now if they’d only pay their rent, they wouldn’t’ve gotten evicted.)

My neighbor uses one of these

for his "cat relocation program" on a regular basis.

I remember reading a profile about W way back in 2000. Though only one cat, I believe, made the move to DC with them, they had several that were living with them in Texas—and it was the then-governor’s job to feed them.

IIRC though they had both dogs and cats, from the interview it sounded as if W himself might actually have been more a cat person than a dog person.

Alas, cats were victim of eminent domain for commercial reasons even back before Kelo.

Webb said she is concerned officials with the Bush library will want the cats completely off the property.

Notice she's has no idea what the officials with the Bush library actually want. She's not been told to move all the cats, but that doesn't stop the media from blaming nasty Bush for displacing these poor feral cats.

I have a friend who goes to out of the way places in Atlanta to feed feral cats.
The police have even told her she is putting herself in danger of being mugged, etc.

“It’s hard to move cats,” Webb said. “Cats don’t like to move.”

True the last cat we adopted spent months on the bathtub and bathroom sink. She was a terror and we were ready to give up and have her euthanized as a lost cause. One day she had a break through and came out of the bathroom. Since her bathroom debut she is a great cat, and her swats are playful instead of lethal as they were when she was in the bathroom. We think she was originally from a breeder and kept in a cage. She would only eat Purina Cat Chow and was very shy or aggressive with people. We were told she is a Himalayan but she has white feet indicating she is a Birman, but her fur is too long and lush for a Birman. Who knows or at this point cares. She’s a beauty, a wonderful cat. Love and patience won the day.

From the looks of it, they do use a TNR (trap, neuter, release) system, so at least they’re being responsible about that. Better a few well-managed feral cats than a campus full of rodents - most colleges have enough of those on the faculty already.
