yay for PHIL, I’m a fan of his now. He’s matured very well in the past two years, knows when to tighten up and stay playing smart!

Woods tells Peter Kostis he’s taking some time off to “evaluate things.” Yeah, what a surprise. He’s never done well at the Players, doesn’t like the course so I won’t be surprised if he skips that. But he’ll be back in time for the US Open. Then after that he can take more time of to “evaluate things” until the British Open.

Damn MSM ... played on Tiger’s failures and indiscretions versus Phil’s triumphs and discretions.

Disgraceful.

Let’s see. First major back for one golfer who took time off to support his sick wife as opposed to the first major back for another golfer who was screwing around on his wife.

The golfing gods got this one right! I may be wrong, but Mickelson has always shown grace, class and humility both on and off the course. Eldrick could learn a lot about life from this guy, but I’m sure it would fall on deaf ears.

He could “evaluate things” for a couple of years and it’d be all right with me :)

Yep, totally disgraceful.

I'm kind of liking Westwood. He's pretty positive about his finish. And I love the accent!

“Considering it was Tiger’s first tournament back after the layoff, he did pretty well.”

Hell of a tournament by Tiger and Mr. KJ. They went shot for shot for four rounds...quite a feat for them both, Tiger for coming back in the midst of the storm and for coming back at all and Mr. KJ for playing so well in the heat of it all...I think he is the real big story...

This was a wierd one...it was hardly a clinic in course management...kind of like watching a 43-41 Football game...real exciting come backs and see saw stuff, but not exactly a great, well played game.

Congratulations to Phil Mickelson and the others in the top ten of the best of the best. That shot of his out of the pine straw will almost certainly be in the top ten list for a long time. Something to remember, kind of like Pavin’s fairway wood at the ‘95 Open.

NOTE TO MSM:

Scrap the Tiger Master highlights.

(Notice how CBS cut away during a Tiger tirade?)

Mickelson kicked Tigers ass today which makes me a happy guy since my granddaughters and I were watching yesterday when Tiger let loose with the familiar Fu-k, Fu_k yesterday because he missed a shot by a few yards. Will Tiger grow up? Doubtful.

Kim was really something...what is he, 12? What a great player he could become...I hope he stays under the wing of a good pro and some good mentoring.
