Don’t get used to the Tiger part. When you consider the layoff and what went on during that time, to come back and be this close in a major tells you the caliber of him as a golfer.
Come on — rehab can’t be as distracting as keeping 20 mistresses from your wife and each other, can it??
heck, just seeing four straight days of sunshine at that course is enough for me and I’m not as much a follower as I used to be.. Good to see Phil at the top of his game. Tiger will be Tiger. The game remains the same, the players change. obladee(sic) abladuh(sic)
Phil walked up and hit that last shot pretty quick..
don’t start messin’ around Phil
"On May 20, 2009, it was announced that Mickelson's wife, Amy, was diagnosed with breast cancer, and Mickelson said he will suspend his PGA Tour schedule indefinitely. His management company says Amy Mickelson will begin treatment with major surgery as early as the next two weeks. They were married in 1996 and have three children.
On May 31, 2009, Mickelson announced that he would return to play on the PGA Tour in June at the St. Jude Classic and at the U.S. Open as he had heard from the doctors treating his wife that her cancer had been detected in an early stage."
On July 6, 2009 it was announced that his mother, Mary Mickelson, was diagnosed with breast cancer and will have surgery at the same hospital where his wife was treated.[19] After hearing the news of his mother now being diagnosed with breast cancer, Mickelson took another leave of absence from the Tour, missing The Open Championship.
Let’s not go there, It’s Phil’s day. :-)
give it a rest please...you made your point 20 times already
Its Phils day. :-)
And that makes me happy too.
It ain’t over yet..
Play-off anyone?
Kinda makes you like Phil a little bit more don’t you think?
Sorry — I respect all these golfers’ playing - wow, they are all great. Just joshin’ about the announcers’ stupid excuses for Tiger. No offense meant. This is hot golf.
Knocks it in like a pro. a par and maintains 2-shot lead
tremendous par putt and a sideways slider
I have to LOL at Jim Nance talking about the great response Woods has received from the fans, er patrons. What did people expect? There is a reason Tiger decided to come back at Augusta. It’s a controlled environment and the fans there are serious golf fans. Of course they’re going to cheer Woods. Did Nance expect people to boo or just sit on their hands?
Yes.
I figured as much and realize that it is a credit to him as a pro to consider how close he is to winning when he hasn’t even played well.
Westwood seems to have tightened up as the day has progressed and swings not to lose rather than to win.
I like Couples alot and was a bit disappointed to see his attention wane as the pressure increased but he’s another class act.
Choi and Kim play loose, confident, and have been one of the aforementioned pleasant surprises of the day. The way Kim came roaring back into it and made up all those strokes in a 3-hole, 1-hour time frame was fun to watch.
Anyone think Phil will blow it? He looks totally in command.
Phil’s day.
(And, I hope Tiger goes down as peacefully as I pray the media sensation in the WH does.)
lol.. I hear ya.. I tink Tiger is just glad he didn’t get streaked.. 8-*
Some classy fans at Augusta...it’s nice to see that some people are capable of putting aside the BS and acknowledging a gritty perfprmance in a field of the world’s best golfers on a tough course. Well done, Tiger and Mr. KJ!
thx and it’s awesome golf...real drama so far
