Regarding the Roman Catholic “Eucharist” ...

That is a horrendous perversion of Scripture. Consider what Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 11:23-29, for example. Paul identifies the elements as “bread” and “the new covenant in [Jesus’] blood.”

Yes, you profane the body and blood of the Lord when you take the elements in an unworthy manner, but those elements remain “bread” and “wine.” And we take that bread and wine “in remembrance” of Jesus’ sacrifice.

Who am I to disagree with Scripture? No, I will agree with Scripture, and, like Paul, consider the elements to be “bread” and “the new covenant in [Jesus’] blood.”

no, no, no, that’s not what He said at all....do you remember fron fourth grade how to diagram a sentence???

here’s how it works.....”Do this in memory of me” this is an imperative sentence..when you diagram it, it accepts the pronoun “you” as the subject.....draw a line down through the horizontal line....next comes the word “do”....draw another line down TO the horizontal line....that indicates that the next word is the object of the sentence....”THIS” is the next word.....Jesus said “ YOU DO THIS” in memory of me......in memory was why you do THIS....that is consecrate the bread and wine into the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ
