Mine is from John Bunyan’s immortal Christian classic of the same name.

Christian, the main character is saved early on in the book and the pitfalls and failings of the human character are shown contrasted against the overcoming work of the Saviour through the Holy Spirit. In the end, Christian arrives at the Celestial City, personal blemishes and all, in spite of his personal failings, and all because of God’s grace.

It also reflects my belief that only a Bible-believing Christian can truly call himself a conservative.

I always thought it would be good when the Feds come looking for me and find a fat East Texan who can't spell with a surly attitude calling himself chuckles. They would never connect me with it.

I read a story once that whole strings of bombers heading for Nazi Germany during WW2 would play the hoodat game. After about 20 planes had checked in the commander lost his mind and cursed out the whole flight live on air. There was silence for about 20 seconds until some anonymous radio operator on one of the planes said "Hoodat"?
