As I said, she lost for non-singing reasons. She was head and shoulders above all the rest of the contestants, every week.

I haven't watched every week but what were her anti-bush antics?
My thought are maybe a paint salesman (just like John Travolta's character from Saturday Night Fever) was a better story than a single mom. Maybe America has had enough of that story.
