I am asking that any Freeper who has ordered a CD from Video Professor to please post a reply here or send me a Freeper email.
Chances are that many of you have seen the Video Professor's television commercials on cable TV over the past several years. The commercials tout "FREE" CDs to teach consumers how to use computers and various popular software.
I would like to hear from people who have ordered one or more CDs from Video Professor, including any "FREE" CDs, and hear whether you believe you received good value for your money, had any issues with your order or the billing, etc. Many thanks.
I hope I posted this in the right forum. If not, Moderator please move this to where it belongs. Thanks.
I did but it was many years ago. I had to be very firm with them, I don’t recall exactly, but I did only pay for the first one. (if they are still sending additional ones with a bill, which I assume they are)
I have no experience with Video Professor, but I did a quick search (”Video Professor reviews” using Google, or whatever your favorite search engine is), and this was the first link in the results:

Doesn’t look so good to me.
Hi there, sucker
One of the biggest frauds ever, search “Video professor” with scam or ripoff.
One of the worst thieves out there.
::cough:graphic:cough::
Check with your local community college or adult ed. Likely a better deal....
I am aware of the many online complaints. I was hoping to find Freepers who have first hand experiences in dealing with VP. Thanks.
Just to be clear, I am not buying or thinking about buying this product. I am looking for people who have bought it.
Nothing is free and anyone touting a product as such is pulling a scam. I learned to use Exel and Access by using large manuals plus trial an error. The fact that I am somewhat of techno geek did help in the process.
bramps
I sent them a check for postage. I got one video for Microsoft Word and that was that. Nobody gets my credit card numbers any more.
Or your local 6th grade paperboy. He’d be better than this fraud.
This actually belongs in the Commercial Sales and Ads forum.
Your account will charged a small fee for moving it.
Watching videos as a very poor way to learn technical topics. Buy a $45 book covering your topic. Find a quiet place to carefully read it on a regular. Practice what you’ve learned. Repeat as necessary.
Hope you get more replies. I was interested in the Learn to sell on ebay CD.
I know I could learn for free at ebay by pouring through all of their instructions, but I just didn’t want to. If this CD can explain it easier, then I’m ready to order it.
The only thing I’ve heard is they get you on the shipping and handling charges. But that was hearsay, so maybe others will have first-hand experience.
