For all of the people who say they are prepared....are you? In any trueemergency/disaster situation, the hospitals will most likely be overflowing, and you will probably need to perform your own triage. DO you have hemostats, sutures, tourniquets, splints?
When disaster hits, you will not be able to count on ANY part of the current infrastructure to help you.
I have a saying I printed out an placed with my stored items:
The veneer of civilization is thin......and getting thinner.

I have 3 quite well stocked first aid kist, including tourinquets and lots of bandage type materials.
If it comes to suturing, then we’re talking the old stick in my mouth to bite on deal and a very, very fine sewing needle!
(And some of my home made beer to carry me over after it’s done!!)
Can a regular person buy some of that stuff w/o a scrip?
For instance you cannot buy hypodermic needles.
But you can go to a farm supply and buy them TO BE USED ON YOUR PETS/LIVESTOCK ONLY!!
Penicillin is dirt cheap at the Farm Supply, as is all sorts of Iodine Tinctures, etc.
