Well - I thought we could all use some good news.
Was up in the wee hours of the morning watching TCT.TV and this Sid Roth Program comes on (It's Supernatural).
The host interviewed a man named John Fenn.
John has done some unusual things.
You will need to watch the video at the link to learn more.
But the one thing that really made me smile was that John Fenn who was "caught up into heaven" like the Apostle Paul was:
2 Corinthians 12:2: 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, (B)God knows--such a man was caught up to the (D)third heaven.
I didn’t realize my favorite (passed via emails)story about the man and his dog was from the Twilight Zone. Always brings a tear to my eye.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hello?
That implies that God has
LESS selectivity about animals in Heaven than He does humans.
DOH.
Sounds like silliness to the max, to me.
He strikes me that way, still.
He has a TV personna that’s . . . geared to the medium, a bit. However, that’s kind of the way to do it, I’d think.
God has to be THE SUPREME priority or humans evidently won’t make it.
It would be super tragic for one’s pet to be there and one not to be.
One may be better served by observing what scripture has to say about consulting mediums. We are prohibited from doing so. Such things are better left to fanciful Twilite Zone episodes than considered for addition to one’s faith.
Ditto, my FRiend.
Actually you are correct. The Biblical answer is that animals do not go to jail.
I’m sure Heaven has awesome beer making equipment already!
Not at all - including the idea that one cannot be "happy" in heaven unless supplied what one preferred on earth. Neither would I limit God by presuming heaven is even for the purpose of our happiness as we understand it here. Seems to me that the passage stating no one has heard, seen or even imagined what awaits has the distinct possibility of exclusivity.
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
“And dogs. “
At no time is salvation mentioned as being offered to anyone but people.
Not even angels get an offer of salvation.
I tend to agree with that.
That’s so funny! My pastor is going to likely not be very happy to discover cats are in heaven....
The only Created beings in rebellion are human. Being the pinnacle of His Creation, we were and are offered salvation. The rest of His good Creation doesn't need it, never having rebelled. They suffer disease, aging, decay and death, right along with us, because of us, due to The Fall. All the world does.
A good resource regarding this matter comes from the 18th century. It's John Wesley's legendary sermon, The General Deliverance. It's very powerful, and runs the gamut of Biblical thought pertaining to the lesser Creatures. Give it a look, it's widely available on the internet.
Okay. God bless you!
LOL! OH my! Yes I imagine there were a lot of tears over those moo’s.
God bless you.
Would you call Paul a medium?
Hello - Glad you found this thread!! God bless!
I agree with both of you. I’m not “anti” anybody, just anti false teachings.
I tend to keep it to myself and then have guilt feelings for not trying to show the error of their ways.
I pray, my brother and sister.
I pray for the atheists too, many of them who are just too smart for the simple message of the gospel.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
